Please join us for training rides led by
Ed Cangialosi

Ed, professional bike fitter extraordinaire and owner of www.RepartoCorse.com online bike shop, will be hosting group rides open to all cycling enthusiasts.

Ed volunteers as a member of the Harlem Academy Climb Committee who has ridden in every year of the Climb for Harlem Academy. He is a USA Cycling Coach who has completed Serotta’s Advanced training in bike fitting for road and time trial as well as custom bike design. He has also trained with Mike Sylvester, the Serotta Fit School founder, and works with riders of all levels to improve their riding comfort and efficiency at his studio and on the road.

The Harlem Academy Bakery rides are a great way to prepare for the 4th Annual Climb for Harlem Academy this September. The Bakery rides will start just north of the George Washington Bridge and follow 9W to Nyack. Please join us, and feel free to bring a friend! Ride distance will be about 50 miles

We'll be leaving at 9 AM from Strictly Bicycles, 2347 Hudson Terrace in Ft. Lee, New Jersey, and heading North to Nyack for donuts and stuff via 9W. Please be sure to park on Hudson Terrace, as the shop does not have room for cars to be left in their lot.

Cue sheets are available so riders can go at their own pace and take a break at the Runcible Spoon in Nyack, where we will regroup.

    The Bakery Route

  • From 2347 Hudson Terrace, follow to end.
  • Left and then right at light onto 9W North.
  • Left on downhill before Bridge towards Route 340.
  • Right @ bottom of hill onto Ferndon under bridge @340 intersection (becomes Piermont Ave).
  • Left @ stop@ Depew. 
  • Right @ S. Broadway to Bakery for rest stop.
  • Left @ Old Mountain Road (follow signs for 9W).
  • Right @ 9W.
  • Left @ Rockland Lake onto Lake Ave.
  • Left @ Route 303.
  • Left @ Storms Road.  
  • Right @ Christian Herald Road.
  • Cross 9W.
  • Bear Right onto Midland.
  • Left @ Main Street.
  • Right @ Broadway.
  • Left @ Cornelison Ave.
  • Right @ stop onto Piermont Ave.
  • Left @ 340 East (Valentine) – becomes 501 South (Piermont Road).
  • Follow 501 – bear left onto County Road.
  • Left @ East Clinton Road – uphill to 9W.
  • Left @ 505 (East Palisade Ave)
  • Right @ Hudson Terrace – back to start point.
